Magni is a wheeled robotic platform that enables robot builders to immediately begin work on their own robot projects, without struggling to solve problems that have been solved many times before.
Until now there has been no affordable robot that has Magni’s payload and capability. A robot builder who needed this configuration (and it is needed for many tasks) had to design from the ground up—frame, motor(s), wheels, motion control, obstacle avoidance, navigation—all before the real work could begin. Magni delivers all this.

Mobility
Magni is a hardware platform in the form of a mobile base. When powered by ROS software, it can handle vision, localization, communication and mobility.
Navigation
Key to every robotics application, Magni packs strong motors and a rock-solid chassis so that you can focus on your app and not the drivetrain.
Power
Magni has plenty of power for your external hardware, with 12V and 5V supplies which can both output 10A each. Magni can be equipped with up to 35 Amp hours of 24 volt batteries.
Compute
Magni comes with a Raspberry Pi 4 running Ubuntu and ROS, enabling powerful compute while keeping the price tag low. The computing unit can be easily upgraded if your application demands more performance.

Navigation software
Get your robot to move in the way you want.
The system comes with a fiducial marker based, navigation stack provided for free. However most people want to use additional systems either to make route set up easier or to avoid the use of fiducials. We have LIDAR and improved fiducial navigation systems available.
LIDARs
A LIDAR sensor enables the robot to map the room by measuring the distance to the nearest reflective surface using a laser. Large spaces require a longer range. Check our selection of LIDARS and choose the one that suits your application best.
Load carrying add-ons
Sometimes you want to move things around. Use our modular shelving system to make it easier. It provides reconfigurable shelving for you to stack and rack your equipment. Shelf height can be adjusted. Touchscreen included.
Charging add-ons
Set up a hands-free charging station using a contact charging dock or a wireless charging station. Place the charger in a robot-accessible location. The system automatically starts charging the batteries once the robot is in the correct position.

- Magni comes with a pretrained deep neural net (DNN) that recognizes about 20 objects including people
